Josephine Panek Obituary

Josephine Panek, 101, of Glassport, died Nov. 11, 2021, peacefully at home surrounded by her family. She is the daughter of the late Val and Salamina Karnash and wife of the late John Panek. She is survived by her sons John Panek and William Panek; daughter Loretta (Bob) Lee; grandchildren Robert (Sherrie) Lee, Lisa (John) Dolinar, Greg (Maria) Lee , John (Kelly) Lee, Kristie Panek and Vanessa Panek; great grandchildren Robert (Caty) Lee, Marcy (Tim) Smith, Jenna (Tyler) Berger, Morgan Dolinar, Nicholas Lee and Amanda Lee; great great grandchildren Brynn and Ethan; also and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by brothers Val, Joe and Stanley Karnash and sisters Blanche Pasinski and Helen Michalowicz. Josephine was a member of St. Joachim and Anne Parish. She loved polka music, making pierogies and trips to the casino. Friends received Wojciechowski Funeral Home, Glassport on Sun. from 1 to 3 and 5 to 7. A funeral mass will be held Mon. 10:00 am at Queen of the Rosary Church with Father Miroslaus Wojcicki. Interment following St. Mary's Polish Cemetery.
