Joseph P. Reed

Joseph Paul Reed, 51, of West Mifflin passed away Aug. 15, 2021 at home.  He was the son of the late James V. and Arlene Reed.  Joey will be greatly missed and remembered for his love of his family and friends.  Joey loved all living things from animals to bugs.  He wouldn’t harm a fly.  Next time you see a spider maybe you can be like Joe and let it go.  He loved seeing people happy, cookouts with his family, his nieces and nephews, frisbee and had a fascination with dragons.  He hated the cable company.  He had a great sense of humor and would often imitate Jim Carrey and the Jerky Boys.  If you needed help with anything he would try his best to fix it for you.  He was so kind and gentle.  Not loud or arrogant.  Sweet and generous.  He is survived by his brothers James A. (Elaine) Reed of Pittsburgh and Scott A. (Lisa) Reed of West Mifflin; sisters Suzie (Ken) Dudash of Jefferson Hills, Karen Newman of Glassport and Kristen Signorelli of Canonsburg; nephews Shane Reed of Allentown and Kyle Reed of West Mifflin; nieces Roxanne Reed of West Mifflin, Brianna Signorelli of Canonsburg, Alyssa Signorelli of Canonsburg, Natalie Reed of West Mifflin and Jennifer McClelland of Liberty Boro; step son Shawn Downs; uncles and aunts James (Tari) Tomedolsky of Port Vue, Joyce (John) Hutton of South Park and John (Diane) Reed of Jacksonville, FL; cousins Eric Fenton of Castle Shannon, Kerry Rae Bizila of South Park, Rachel Barngrover and Jason Reed of Jacksonville, FL.  He was preceded in death by his aunt Donna Spahr of Bethel Park.  Friends received Friday from 2-5 and 6-9, Wojciechowski Funeral Home, 640 Vermont Ave., Glassport, Pa 15045.  In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the funeral home.
